2️⃣ Minimum Letter Size
Exact sizing depends on your project, but generally:
Under 3cm height → Not recommended
5cm and above → Stable
8cm and above → Very stable
The smaller the text,
the less room you have for carving and clean finishing.
3️⃣ Stroke Thickness Guidelines
Letter strokes should be at least 5–8mm thick.
Below that, you may experience:
Yarn clumping
Edge collapse
Reduced legibility
If you want thinner-looking text,
increase the overall size instead of reducing stroke width.
4️⃣ Letter Spacing Matters
If letters are too close together, you’ll run into:
No room for carving
Yarn crowding
Blurred boundaries
Leave at least 3–5mm spacing between letters whenever possible.

Leave margin around outer edges
Preserve inner counter space (O, A, R, etc.)
If internal spaces are too tight,
they can collapse during trimming and finishing.
