Tufting Cloth

Tufting fabric is the most basic part of tufting, but it is an important element that determines the quality of the resulting product. In order to complete the work, you will need various types of fabrics, such as foam paper for the work, mesh cloth for the back finish, and backing cloth.

• There are three types of foam paper to choose from based on their respective strengths. White fabric has the advantage of making designs stand out when drawn with graphite or textile pen. This fabric is recommended for beginners. Stripes make it easy to apply finishing touches after completing a job. The side folds are slightly exposed, and the striped fabric gives it a luxurious feel. The beige fabric has vertical ivory guide lines. You can work efficiently by following the guide while hanging the fabric on the frame or working. All three fabrics are made with the best weave and quality for tufting.
• Mesh cloth is used at the latex stage for the final finish. The mesh cloth allows latex to spread and penetrate evenly and reduces unnecessary use of latex. If the foam paper is torn during work, you can also use mesh cloth to repair it.
